Memphis has a large number of churches representing many different Christian denominations and faith traditions.  It is a city with a rich Christian heritage, dating back to the early 19th century. Today, there are over 1,800 churches in Memphis, representing a wide variety of denominations and Christian traditions.

Churches play an important role in the Memphis community. They provide places of worship, fellowship, and service. Churches also offer a variety of social and educational programs for their members and the community at large.

Memphis is home to a variety of Christian denominations, including Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Lutheran. The city has a long history of Christianity, dating back to the early 19th century.  The city is also home to a number of non-denominational churches.  There are approximately 1,800 churches in Memphis, Tennessee.

 

Many Memphis churches have deep historical roots, reflecting the city's complex past and its journey through the civil rights movement. They often serve as both spiritual and community leaders in the region.

We want to leverage the resources at the disposal of the church community in our efforts to fight crime, educate our children, keep our neighborhoods clean, and
